William "Wild Bill" Hutchison, age 82 of Newnan, GA., formerly of Jasper, GA., Woodstock, GA., and Knoxville, TN., passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Bill was born in 1942 in Knoxville, TN. He graduated from Bearden High School in the shadows of Neyland Stadium, home of the University of Tennesse Volunteers. He enjoyed a career with Equitable and Proctor and Gamble.
Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed time on the water, navigating whitewater while paddling his canoe. He helped others in his capacity as a Mason and a Shriner. Bill was the greatest storyteller and joke teller who also loved anything Western. He was a huge Tennessee Volunteer fan who embraced the words, "Go Big Orange" and "Go Vols", and the most popular fight song in college football, "Rocky Top".
He was preceded in death by his son, Dan Hutchison.

Wife - Carol Griffis Hutchison of Newnan, GA.
Daughter - Jill Hutchison of Duluth, GA.
Daughter - Carla (Jimmy) Anderson of Dunwoody, GA.
Son - Alex (Cary) Horvath of Newnan, GA.
Grandchild - Katy (Asten) Hutchison of Jasper, GA.
Grandchild - Jay (Rebecca) Hutchison of Canton, GA.
Grandchild - Nicole (Nick) Foley of Decatur, GA.
Grandchild - Vivian Horvath of Newnan, GA.
Great-Grandchildren - Josselyn Foley, Declan Foley, Jeb Hutchison, and Sunny Mae Alpha.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14th from 9am - 11am. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home on Saturday, September 14th at 11am with Rev. James Blalock officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Masonic Children's Home or the Shriner's Hospital in his memory.
His favorite saying was one of encouragement to anyone battling life, "Just Keep Paddling."
