William Eugene Shanks's Obituary
William E Shanks passed away in his home on January 1, 2022, with his daughter Kathy by his side.
Bill worked for forty years at Armco/AKSteel Corp as an electrician. He was a member of the South Ashland United Methodist Church. He loved being a Master Craftsman of wood working being very generous with his natural talent.
He spent the last seven years living in North Georgia enjoying the diversity the area had to offer. He loved going to car shows, Science and Western museums, Air Shows and having dozens of new dining experiences with his newfound friend, Charles Allen, Kathy's boyfriend. Having to give up driving, he was more than happy to view the beautiful scenery from the passenger side. His favorite topic was the amazing clouds and hues of the sky.
He left behind a Daughter, Kathy Shanks and two grandchildren Ian Frazier and Evan Beard.
There is no service being planned. He will be interred at Rose Hill Burial Park, Ashland KY.
