On the afternoon of September 5, 2014 at the age of 80, Wilma F. Cobb went peacefully to be with The Lord after battling an aggressive pneumonia. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM Tuesday September 9, 2014 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Reverend Garry Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM - 9:00PM Sunday September 7th, Monday September 8th and Tuesday from 9:00AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Cherokee Memorial Park. Wilma was the daughter of the late Charlie T. and Myrtle Lewis Fowler and the widow of the late John R. Cobb. Wilma was born June 12, 1934 in Canton Georgia where she resided for most of her life. Wilma retired after a long career with the Bank of Canton. In recent years she resided in Sugar Hill Georgia, after relocating to be near her daughter and son-in-law Beverly Cobb Brown and Mark A. Brown. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Myrtle Fowler, her brother Loy Fowler (sister-in-law Betty Fowler), her brother Harold Fowler, her husband John R. Cobb, her son J. Lewis Cobb, and numerous dear aunts, uncles and cousins. Wilma is survived by her daughter Beverly Cobb Brown, son-in-law Mark A. Brown, granddaughter Patricia Brown, grandson Zach Brown, granddaughter-in-law Karen Brown, sister-in-law Mary Fowler and many dear cousins, nieces and nephews.
