Obituary

Yan Lunn was born on May 12, 1956, passed away October 21, 2024, at 4:13pm. She was a great mother of four sons and loving wife to Huot Lunn.

She came to this country on July 31, 1981, to escape the conflict in Cambodia (from Khmer rouge). Yan Lunn and her husband with his family escaped the struggles of Cambodia without any words of English or any money. It was a struggle to provide for the family. When they got to this country, her first son was born, Michael, on December 1st,1981. It was hard taking care of a son while everything was so new to them. But somehow, they made it through with hard work and dedication they still survive this new world. Then her second son was born on September 6th,1983 then her third son was born on September 16th ,1985. Then finally her last son john was born on May 22,1992. both her and her husband work hard and saved very hard to provide for their family of six.

They finally saved enough money in 1986 to own a Dunkin donuts franchise. After eight years passed, they decide to open their own business, they got burnt out from the franchise business. That's when they decide to own their first donut shop name "Canton Donut ". Then they added a chicken farm into the equation in 1992. Then she started to change her career to do the nail salon. Whatever she thought of she was never afraid to give it a try. There was almost nothing she would not do. All her strength came from her sons. She loved them very much. Then near her final moment on August 22, 2019, Yan Lunn acquired Pilgram chicken broiler, a business she owned until her final moment on October 21, 2024. She was a great mother and was love by everyone.
